About Gadisa Berkessa
Gadisa Berkessa is an engineer, business owner, and community leader with a lifelong passion for solving problems and making a meaningful impact. Born in Nedjo, West Wollega, Oromia, Ethiopia, Gadisa moved to Minnesota nearly two decades ago, where he built his life around hard work, family, and service.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Master’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Arizona. Today, he works as a Project Manager in the Building Automation Systems field, delivering projects that improve performance, efficiency, and reliability in facilities. His engineering background has shaped his approach to challenges, emphasizing accountability, practical solutions, and measurable results.
Beyond his professional career, Gadisa is a small business owner and an active member of his church. As a Christian, he believes in living by the Bible as a whole and strives to reflect those values in his daily life.
A devoted husband and father of two, Gadisa places family at the center of everything he does. His personal and professional experiences have strengthened his commitment to building stronger communities, supporting families, and creating opportunities for others.
